Initial meeting with the council

Hi everyone,

On the 28th of April, we met with the council and had a discussion. They really liked the idea of the outdoor fitness park.

We were surprised by the level of support it received.

Thank you so much for signing this petition. Please continue to share and support it.

Here's what took place in the meeting:

We discussed the potential cost of the park. However, this wasn't the major hurdle. When speaking to Parks and the council, land rights were the main concern.

Moor Park was historically owned by a Lord, and this land was donated to the local authorities for use as a cricket pitch.

Therefore, the legal document for the use of that land is restricted, which potentially means we will need to change the location. We are open to this and will suggest People's Park to the council if Moor Park isn't viable. The council expressed they would give us a list of locations to pick from.

The council is keen to support this project and will get back to us as soon as possible.
